This 15-day family-friendly safari adventure combines East Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations with a relaxing beach escape on Zanzibar. Beginning in Nairobi, the journey explores Kenya’s Amboseli National Park beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Nakuru’s rhino sanctuary, and the predator-rich Masai Mara before crossing into Tanzania for the Great Wildebeest Migration in Northern Serengeti and the vast plains of Central Serengeti. The safari continues to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire’s elephant country, and finishes with several nights along Zanzibar’s palm-lined beaches and a cultural visit to historic Stone Town.     • Day 1 – Nairobi National Park and Elephant Orphanage

      Arrive in Nairobi and begin your safari with a visit to Nairobi National Park, famous for its wildlife roaming against a city skyline backdrop. Continue to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to learn about conservation and watch young elephants being cared for.

    • Day 2 – Amboseli National Park

      After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey south through changing countryside toward Amboseli National Park, renowned for its sweeping plains and postcard views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

      Upon entering the park, enjoy your first extensive game drive among open marshes and acacia woodland. Amboseli is famous for its large-tusked elephant herds that roam beneath Africa’s tallest mountain, as well as lions, cheetahs, buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest.

      After lunch in the park, continue exploring seasonal swamps where hippos and water birds congregate before heading to your lodge in the late afternoon.

      Today is devoted entirely to discovering more of Amboseli’s remarkable ecosystem.

      Morning and afternoon game drives take you deeper into predator territories and elephant corridors, while Kilimanjaro dominates the horizon when skies are clear. Your guide interprets animal behavior, migration patterns, and tracking signs, enriching every wildlife encounter.

      Between drives, relax at the lodge or enjoy views across the plains before returning to the park for late-day photography in golden light.

    • Day 4 – Lake Nakuru National Park

      After breakfast, travel north into Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, descending toward Lake Nakuru National Park.

      This compact park is one of East Africa’s premier rhino sanctuaries and is also home to Rothschild’s giraffes, flamingos, pelicans, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Your game drive follows lakeshore tracks and forested slopes before climbing to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the shimmering lake.

      Enjoy lunch before continuing the safari in the afternoon, then transfer to your lodge set among woodland near the park.

    • Day 5 – Masai Mara National Reserve

      Following breakfast, drive west toward the legendary Masai Mara, where vast savannahs stretch to the horizon and wildlife densities are among the highest in Africa.

      Once inside the reserve, begin an extended game drive in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and enormous herds of grazers that draw predators into open view.

      Leaving the Masai Mara behind, you cross into Tanzania and continue through increasingly remote landscapes toward Northern Serengeti, following ancient migration corridors used by wildebeest and zebra for millennia.

      You venture out early to prime river-crossing points where vast herds of wildebeest and zebra gather on the banks, hesitating before plunging into crocodile-filled waters. Lions, hyenas, and vultures often wait nearby, creating scenes of raw and unforgettable natural drama.

      Your expert guide positions the vehicle strategically, patiently tracking herd movements and interpreting the complex behaviors that precede a crossing. Between sightings, explore open grasslands and riverine forests where elephants, giraffes, and resident predators roam.

    • Day 9 – Northern to Central Serengeti

      After breakfast, journey south through the Serengeti ecosystem toward the wildlife-rich Seronera region of Central Serengeti.

      The drive itself is a safari, crossing rolling plains dotted with granite kopjes where lions often bask and scanning for cheetahs stalking through tall grass. Enormous herds of grazing animals move across the horizon, while leopards sometimes rest in acacia trees along river courses.

      Arrive at your camp in time to freshen up before enjoying sunset views over the savannah, followed by dinner beside the campfire beneath a canopy of stars.

    • Day 10 – Ngorongoro Crater

      This morning you depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, climbing mist-shrouded highlands to reach the rim of the world-famous crater.

      From the viewpoint, gaze down into a vast natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife before descending 600 meters to the crater floor. Spend the day exploring this enclosed ecosystem, home to large prides of lions, massive-tusked elephants, flamingos along soda lakes, hippos wallowing in pools, and some of Tanzania’s most reliable black-rhino sightings.

      Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pond before continuing your exploration.

      In the late afternoon, exit the crater and drive to your lodge for a restful evening.
