Overview
Mount Meru, the second-highest peak in Tanzania, towers at an elevation of 4566 meters above sea level. Situated within Arusha National Park, which is in proximity to the bustling northern city of Arusha—a popular stopover en route to the Northern National Parks—Mount Meru is thought to have experienced volcanic activity approximately a century ago. Embarking on the Mount Meru Trek 4 Days offers a uniquely rewarding experience. In the initial days of the ascent, particularly at lower elevations, trekkers have the opportunity to encounter a variety of wildlife inhabiting the park. This diverse fauna includes buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, monkeys, zebras, and numerous bird species.
