A Safari to Remember: The Buhaenko-Smith Experience
We had the pleasure of hosting Buhaenko-Smith and his wife on a remarkable 7-day safari through some of Tanzania’s most iconic national parks. Their journey was guided by none other than Ismail Chalamila—fondly known among our guests as “the encyclopedia of wildlife” for his deep knowledge and passion for nature.
From the moment they were picked up in Arusha, the adventure unfolded beautifully. Their first destination was Tarangire National Park, where a full-day game drive introduced them to its famous baobab trees and vast herds of elephants.
Next, they ventured into the wild heart of North Serengeti, perfectly timed to witness the dramatic river crossings during the Great Migration—an awe-inspiring sight that left a lasting impression.
On Day 4, the couple explored the Southern Serengeti during a morning game drive before heading to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, where they enjoyed a full day immersed in the incredible biodiversity of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Although they had initially planned to visit Lake Eyasi for a cultural experience with local tribes, a change in schedule brought them back to our office instead. There, we shared stories, laughter, and the highlights of their safari—especially the unforgettable moments with their guide, Chalamila.
Their reflections and joy reminded us why we do what we do. Thank you, Buhaenko-Smith family, for choosing to journey with us. Your story is now part of our story.
A Journey in Focus: Thanks to Nick and Chalamila
Our recent adventure was made truly special thanks to two incredible people. Nick, a talented photographer, captured stunning images throughout the trip — from dramatic landscapes to quiet wildlife moments — and generously shared them with us. His photos perfectly reflect the beauty and emotion of our journey.
Equally important was our guide, Chalamila, whose deep knowledge and passion brought every part of the experience to life. With his expert guidance, we gained a deeper connection to the land, the wildlife, and the stories behind it all.
Together, Nick and Chalamila helped turn an amazing trip into an unforgettable story.
Capturing Magic on Safari: Thanks to Nick and Chalamila
There’s nothing quite like a safari in Tanzania — the golden light, dramatic landscapes, and incredible wildlife make it one of the best places on Earth for photography. On our recent trip, Nick truly captured the magic. From a lion’s quiet stare at dawn to elephants silhouetted against an amber sunset, his photos brought every moment to life.
Guided by the ever-knowledgeable Chalamila, we explored hidden corners of the wild, where every scene felt like a postcard waiting to happen.
For anyone heading out on safari, don’t forget your photography essentials: a good DSLR or mirrorless camera, zoom lenses (200mm+), extra batteries, memory cards, and a dust cover. Trust us — in Tanzania, every moment is worth capturing.
