Welcome to Tanzania! We’re thrilled to have you join us on this incredible journey. As soon as you land at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), one of our friendly and experienced Serengeti clarity representatives will be there to warmly welcome you. They’ll take care of everything and ensure you have a smooth transfer to your cozy accommodation in Arusha, where you can unwind and get ready for the exciting adventures that await you.
If you arrive with some extra time to spare, we have a special treat for you! How about experiencing the breathtaking views of the majestic Kilimanjaro Mountain and capturing some fantastic photos? We’ll take you there, and along the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories about this iconic mountain that holds so much history and wonder.
Alternatively, if you prefer, we can take you to witness the stunning beauty of the Materuni waterfall and the refreshing charm of Chemka waterfall, both located close to Moshi. Program: In the morning after breakfast you will be transferd from your accommodation in Arusha by your personal safari guide with a picnic lunch box and drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive to Tarangire is on a good tarmac road, across the gently rolling Masai plains with scattered acacia trees. En route, you will pass many Maasai in their colorful dresses walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding their cattle and driving donkey’s carts.
For extreme explore the nature you will get walking safari at treetop in Tarangire national park where you will get chance to spot wildlife in close range.
Tarangire National Park is well known for its large elephant herds and Giant Baobab trees. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and the Tarangire River. You will go in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. It’s possible that you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching and relaxing in the trees above. After an extensive game drive, having experienced the various sights we will head you to our partner lodge for overnight.

Program: After breakfast our Tour guide driver will pick you up with a picnic lunch box and drive to Serengeti National Park (Ndutu) which is located between the area of Serengeti and Ngorongoro, here we will continue with game drive on the next day.
Ndutu is the best place to spot six species of cat (predators) – leopards, lions, cheetahs, caracal, African wildcats and serial. And Explore its famous calving ground for migratory animals and provide a best wild life viewing during the green season which is around December up to March, ndutu is found on the southern part of Serengeti plains where around 8000 wildebeest babies are born every day, there area is mostly covered by forest of acacia trees.
After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park and head to our partner lodges/ Campsite. Here you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Program: After breakfast, you will spend full day in Ndutu area where there is high number of wildebeest migration and other herbivores includes zebras and antelopes form December to March, you will be able to witness some real hunting during this wildebeest calving season.
Ndutu provide a best wild life viewing during the green season which is around December up to March, ndutu is found on the southern part of Serengeti plains where around 8000 wildebeest babies are born every day during the short rainy seasons when fresh grasses, pastures and water are available, there area is mostly covered by forest of acacia trees, also Ndutu is the best place to spot six species of cat – leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, African wildcat and serval.
After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park and head to our partner lodges/ Campsite. Here you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Program: After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro conservation area while carrying picnic lunch box, you will have your game viewing in the conservation area and visit the famous Ngorongoro crater. And if you are lucky this is the best place to see the Black Rhino. Later during the afternoon you will drive to (JRO) Kilimanjaro international airport for flight back to Zanzibar.
Ngorongoro crater is among of world UNESCO heritage site and world largest caldera which was formed after the volcanic explosion which occurred approximately 2-3 million years ago, the crater floor is 1,800 meters (5,900 feet), the area has around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds. And is the best place to spot leopard especially in Ngorongoro highland forest.
After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park and head to Kilimanjaro international airport for flight to Zanzibar.

Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
