Travelling all the way from the United States, Paige arrived in Tanzania with her two boys ready to experience the African wilderness together. Their private family safari was carefully designed to combine exciting wildlife encounters, comfortable travel and exceptional luxury accommodations.
From the moment they landed at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our Serengeti Clarity team was ready to welcome them. They were transferred to Gran Meliá Arusha, where they could relax and recover from their international journey before beginning their safari adventure.
Exploring Tarangire National Park
Their first wildlife destination was Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most rewarding parks for families. Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees, beautiful landscapes and large elephant populations.
With their private safari vehicle and experienced guide, Paige and her boys could enjoy the game drive at their own pace. There was no pressure to follow another group’s schedule—they had the freedom to stop, observe, ask questions and enjoy every special sighting together.
After their Tarangire adventure, the family enjoyed a comfortable overnight stay at Escarpment Luxury Lodge.
Discovering the Ngorongoro Crater
The journey continued to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations. Descending into the crater gave Paige and her boys an opportunity to explore a unique ecosystem filled with diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery.
Their stay at Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw, operated by Karibu Camps & Lodges, placed them close to the crater while providing the warmth, comfort and hospitality needed after a full day of exploration.
A Luxury Serengeti Safari
No Tanzania family safari would be complete without visiting Serengeti National Park. The family first explored the wildlife-rich plains of Central Serengeti, an area celebrated for its resident animals and classic African landscapes.
Their accommodation at Meliá Serengeti Lodge, a member of the Meliá Collection, added another level of comfort to the experience. Surrounded by nature, the family could relax while remaining connected to the beauty of the Serengeti.
The adventure then continued north toward Kogatende, where Paige and her boys stayed at Ole Serai Luxury Camp. This remote region is especially famous during the Great Migration season, when enormous herds gather near the Mara River and dramatic river crossings may occur.
Because wildlife movements are natural and cannot be guaranteed, every day in Northern Serengeti brings its own possibilities. The excitement comes from exploring, patiently observing and allowing the wilderness to reveal its story.
