Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our experts will meet you and transport you to the Moshi hotel for dinner and breakfast, following the instructions provided by us. Later, gather for the Kilimanjaro briefing and equipment check.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from Moshi and driven to Machame Gate at 1800m/5905ft, following our instructions. Complete registration formalities at the gate office, enter the rainforest, have lunch, and proceed to Machame Camp at 3000m/9842ft for an overnight stay. Distance covered: 11km/8 miles.

After breakfast at Machame Camp, ascend through the moorland zone, take a break for lunch, and continue towards a rocky ridge in Shira Plateau. Reach Shira Campsite at 3840m/12,598ft for an overnight stay. Distance covered: 5km/3 miles.

Navigate through the rocky landscape, have lunch at Lava Tower (4550m/14927ft), and descend to Barranco Camp, located below the Barranco Wall at 3900m/12,795ft, for an overnight stay. Enjoy stunning views for photography during the hike. Distance covered: 10km/6 miles.

After spending the night near the Great Barranco Wall, descend towards Heim Glacier, proceed to Karanga Valley, and connect to the Mweka route. Barafu Hut at 4600m/15,091ft is your last stop before the final ascent at night. Ensure preparation for thermal clothing. Distance covered: 10km/6 miles.

Start your ascent towards Stella Point (5735m/18815ft) at the crater rim and continue to Uhuru Peak at 5895m/19,340ft. Spend valuable time at the summit before descending to Barafu and entering the moorland in the forest. The camp is situated over the upper forest for dinner and water. Distance covered: 13km/8 miles.

Celebrate with guides after breakfast and return to Mweka Gate at 1650m/5413ft to receive your summit certificates.
